ISO 9001:2015 is an international standard dedicated to Quality Management Systems (QMS) ISO 9001 in Karachi Pakistan. First published in 1987 since, the latest iteration (ISO 9001:2015) replaces ISO 9001:2008. It doesn’t dictate what an organization’s next, objectives or how to achieve them.

ISO 9001 is the international standard for a quality management system (“QMS”). In order to be certified to the ISO 9001 standard, a company must follow the requirements set forth in the ISO 9001 Standard. The standard is used by organizations to demonstrate their ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements and to demonstrate continuous improvement.

All requirements of ISO 9001:2008 are generic and are intended to be applicable to all organizations, regardless of type, size and product provided.

Where any requirement(s) of ISO 9001:2008 cannot be applied due to the nature of an organization and its product, this can be considered for exclusion.

So, The organizations engage an independent certification body to audit before, their QMS implementation against the ISO requirements. Organizations of any size can certify to this standard. Next including smaller ones with no dedicated Quality resources.

Therefore, ISO regularly reviews all standards to ensure they are next, up-to-date and continue to be relevant for the needs of organizations around the world.

Since, The last major revision of ISO 9001 was in 2008. The exponential increase in the availability of technology, products, and services for consumers, as well as the size and complexity of the global supply chain. It have meant that ISO needed to make 9001 meet several new requirements.

Certainly, Customer demands on products services, and the impact on the brand reputations of those companies that can meet them. And, ISO 9001 needed to meet these enhanced expectations.
